A few months ago I did a tons of artwork for Obsek, a young Melodic Metal Deathcore band from Rouyn-Noranda. Their latest release is a concept album about drugs called Traumatic Experiment. Simon, the frontman of the band, came to me with some really great concepts and inspirational ideas to work on. Toad eating himself and getting into a mushroom trip, Willy Wonkas selling pills and the Carnivorous Weed Plant are some of the artwork that were done for the album. Take a look at their Myspace… the guys have a huge potential and their sound is incredibly brutal!
Il y a quelques mois j’ai réalisé plusieurs dessins pour le groupe Obsek de Rouyn-Noranda. Simon, le chanteur du groupe, m’a contacté avec plusieurs idées délirantes et très inspirantes pour illustrer leur dernier album intitulé “Traumatic Experiment”. Ce dernier opus tourne autour de la drogue et les illustrations y présentent Willy Wonkas en revendeur de drogue, Toad se dévorant lui-même sur un trip de mush et un monstre cannabis carnivore géant. Visitez leur myspace… les jeunes ont beaucoup de potentiel et leur son est carrément brutal. Je vous souhaite de percer sur la scène international les gars.

Je connais Obsek depuis peu, et je suis littéralement tombé amoureux de l’artwork de l’album. Chapeau bas, vraiment, tes illustrations donne une nouvelle dimensions a leurs musique. Ca m’a fait pencer aux illustration de Dan Mumford, qui fait lui aussi pour des groupes de metals plus connus ( TDWP, Gallows … ). Bonne continuation l’artiste !
